Sona now delivers packs instead of files. A brief renders a batch of up to 32 takes; the ones you keep are named to UCS, trimmed, loudness-matched and written out as WAVs with BWF and iXML metadata and a CSV manifest. The old single-prompt, single-file output is gone, because a text box that returns one take is something several companies now give away.
Post-production moved into the browser. Decode, trim, loudness to BS.1770-4, fades, resample, WAV writing and ZIP all run on your machine, so audio does not travel to a server and back, and changing the loudness target or the sample rate and exporting again costs nothing.
The four-app Turborepo, the standalone render worker, the token wallet and card payments are removed. One Next.js application ships the site, the studio and the API together, and early access is metered with a monthly render allowance instead of a balance you top up.
